A badge should mean something actually happened: a passage, a contribution, a milestone, an event, a useful act, or a shared moment.
Unlike rank, a badge is not meant to change just because the member's current LEAP balance changes.
Two Quartermasters may hold the same amount of LEAP but have completely different badge histories—and therefore completely different stories.
The system can grow over time, but these categories give LEAP a strong starting structure.
